JOSH IN CARICATURE
It seems like a lifetime ago, but in 1999 I started a little business -- IMPOLITIC: A Gallery of Opinionated Art -- representing editorial cartoonists in the sale of their original artwork. I thought I was being a nice guy, but then I saw what I look like through their perverted eyes. While I (usually) take it in good humor, my mother’s reaction when she sees these caricatures is inevitably, “I thought he was your friend?”
Robbie Conal (http://www.robbieconal.com/) is a world-famous “guerrilla artist” who has been plastering his political poster art around Los Angeles and other cities for decades.

David Horsey (http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/topoftheticket/) is a two-time Pulitzer Prize winner. Most of his career was spent at the Seattle Post Intelligencer but his work now appears on the website of my home town paper, and on top of everything else one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet -- just don’t let him draw you!
Roman Genn (http://www.rgenn.com/) is one of my best friends, but as a right-wing lunatic I object, object, object to his using my image in his "funny little pictures" for publications like National Review, where he is on the masthead as a contributor or some other title that they bestow instead of paying him better. Here he has me as a “liberal trial lawyer” paying off Al Gore in the 2000 election cycle while poor Ralph Nader is stuck with an empty tin cup and another more recent one of Rick Perry, apparently warning me to stay the hell out of Texas.
